Mothers face particular challenges in entrepreneurial self-employment, often rooted in multiple discrimination and structural inequalities, such as a larger share of care work, limited risk-taking opportunities, and difficult access to relevant business networks or financing sources. As a result, mothers remain significantly underrepresented in the entrepreneurial landscape. With the free New Roots program, Impact Hub Munich addresses this issue and gives mothers the opportunity to act self-efficaciously and self-determinedly, realize their own potential in a professional context, further their education, and design a working life that fits their own reality.
Five months of coaching, community, and entrepreneurial setup
New Roots accompanies participants over five months to develop an entrepreneurial setup that fits their own life circumstances. The program aims to remove barriers to entry, reduce startup hurdles, and strengthen founders’ long-term success prospects.
The workshops take place mainly in the mornings at the Impact Hub to make combining with care work easier.
