The initiative “Digital for all” is awarding the “Award for digital collaboration” for the fourth time. Until April 3, 2023, non-profit projects that successfully promote digital participation or harness the opportunities of digital transformation for civic engagement can apply online. Projects should already be underway and designed for the long term. A high-caliber jury will decide on the winners, who will be announced on June 14, 2023, shortly before the nationwide Digital Day.
“Digitalization opens up many possibilities and new fields of engagement and volunteering. These potentials must be promoted,”
explains DFA Managing Director Kimberly Klebolte.
“With the Award for digital collaboration, we want to honor those who are engaged and make the diversity of digital engagement visible.”
Award for digital collaboration presented in two categories
The award is presented in two categories: In the “Digital participation” category, for example, projects and initiatives can apply that bring people out of digital isolation or create more accessibility on the web. In the “Digital engagement” category, projects are recognized that use digital technologies in innovative ways to expand civic engagement. This category includes, for example, digital support for refugee assistance, open-source solutions for association work, or initiatives against online hatred. Both categories are each endowed with 10,000 euros in prize money.
