The ITHM is a globally operating platform that promotes technological transformation in the insurance industry. The aim is to strengthen collaboration between insurers, tech companies, startups, universities, and investors to advance digitalization. It is part of the federal government’s Digital Hub Initiative and is financially supported by the Bavarian Ministry for Economic Affairs, Regional Development, and Energy.

With the newly launched partnership with the ITHM, QAware becomes part of a community that includes international and nationwide operating insurance groups, regional and specialty insurers, technology companies, over 600 startups, selected universities, and an engaged investor community.

Essential for future-ready insurance companies

Miriam Hook, Managing Director of the ITHM, says:

“The success of technological transformation is crucial to keeping insurance companies future-ready. With QAware, we have gained a partner who not only possesses sound expertise but also has the ability to implement innovative solutions effectively.”

QAware supports companies in the conception, modernization, and implementation of business-critical software systems. A particular focus lies on the development of AI platforms, the integration of AI into existing systems, and strategic consulting.

Verify practical viability of AI applications

A central goal of the partnership is to support insurance companies in verifying the regulatory compliance and practical viability of AI applications. Both organizations see the collaboration as an important step to drive innovation and actively shape the future of the industry. Josef Adersberger, Managing Partner of QAware, says:

“The Insurtech Hub Munich provides an ideal platform for exchange between technology companies and insurers. Together, we can address the current challenges facing the industry and develop forward-looking solutions.”
