At Quantum Systems, one milestone follows another. In recent months, the defense tech company raised a remarkable €100 million, acquired a majority stake in propulsion developer EFT Mobility, and restructured its leadership team. Now the company specializing in AI-powered fixed-wing drones and software has announced another acquisition. Through the integration of Airrobot, which develops multicopter drones, Quantum Systems is expanding its “Family of Systems”. This underscores the long-term strategy of continuously building out software and AI expertise.
nnnnAirrobot, based in Arnsberg, is the primary supplier for the German Armed Forces’ MIKADO II program (2022-2032) and a Tier-1 supplier to Lockheed Martin for the UK Ministry of Defence’s TIQUILA program (2023-2033). Existing development, production, and maintenance operations will continue at the Arnsberg location. The continuous supply to the German Armed Forces remains the top priority.
nnnnThe acquisition is expected to create new technological synergies. Quantum Systems and Airrobot are pooling their expertise to develop innovative drone solutions for security and defense applications. Sven Kruck, CEO of Quantum Systems, explains:
nnnnnnnnn„This acquisition strengthens our position as an innovative provider of drone technology for defense and security applications. We combine our expertise while simultaneously securing strategically important supply contracts for our national and international security partners.”

Robert Polok, CEO of Airrobot, adds:
nnnnnn„The pooling of both companies’ strengths opens up completely new opportunities and creates strong synergies for the future of unmanned aviation. By combining our technologies, expertise, and innovative capabilities, we will develop even more powerful drone solutions at the highest level – Made in Germany.”
