Quantum Systems now produces its drones in Ukraine as well. Last week, Federal Minister of Economics Habeck opened the company’s new production facility during a delegation trip. Ukrainian Minister for Strategic Industries Oleksandr Kamyshin and Deputy Ukrainian Defense Minister Iwan Hawryliuk were also present.
Quantum Systems’s Vector reconnaissance drones have been in use in Ukraine since May 2022. To date, the company has provided 212 systems through the capability enhancement initiative. By year-end, the number is expected to more than double to a total of 500 reconnaissance drones. The new location is intended to expand the capacity of reconnaissance drones deliverable annually to up to 1,000 units and ensure spare parts production.
Quantum Systems already operates a service, support, training, and logistics center in Ukraine with 25 Ukrainian employees. They train drone pilots and implement technological advancements directly on-site in the reconnaissance systems. In the new facility, the drone manufacturer plans to employ around 100 staff members by year-end. Over the next two years, the company intends to invest up to six million euros in the new location.

Currently, Quantum Systems operates as a dual-use company with approximately 250 employees across three locations, producing for the civil and public sectors. The production facility in Ukraine is the fourth plant among a total of seven locations worldwide.
