The Munich subsidiary of Quitt currently employs three staff members. In addition to its headquarters in Zurich and the office in Munich, the Swiss company also operates an office in the Armenian capital Yerevan and employs around 40 people in total.
Quitt already works for over 20,000 customers
The company offers a digital solution for registering, managing, and billing household helpers and is, according to its own statements, the first provider of this kind in the German market. The company’s goal is to end illegal employment of cleaners, gardeners, childcare and senior care providers. This provides households with a path out of illegality, while household helpers gain access to insurance and accident protection. The state also receives social security contributions and taxes.
According to the company, household helpers are employed in around ten percent of all German households. Around 3.6 million helpers are reportedly employed illegally in Germany.
“We take care of correspondence with authorities and insurance companies, offer a sample employment contract, and record working hours and vacation. We provide monthly billing statements for both employers and employees and assist with applications for tax relief – always up to date, compliant with the law, and completely digital”,
says Marie-Christin Kamann, managing director of Quitt Germany.
In Switzerland, the company already has 20,000 customers with around 40,000 employment contracts. For the future, Quitt plans to expand into further countries.
