Whether before founding, searching for funding, looking for investors, or in the middle of scaling up: In the Backstage Club, the Munich Startup Festival 2025 offers targeted workshops with experts and funding organizations. And startups share their learnings.

It starts with TK, which shows how startups reach their goals and scaleups grow in a structured way. Between the two sessions, there’s an active break to regain focus.

Workshops 2025: funding, capital, and programs at a glance

A highlight: the workshop on startup financing. Founders learn how to secure funding, grants, and capital – supported by experts from the Bavarian Ministry of Economics and successful startups from Munich and Bavaria. Programs like Flügge, Start?Zuschuss!, BayTOU, or the Bavarian Business Plan competitions – here founders learn which programs are worthwhile when.

Immediately afterwards, Munich Business, Munich’s economic development agency, presents three funding programs: the Munich Impact Incubator, the innovation competition, and crowdfunding support. The subsequent Q&A session with program managers and startups like Muniqo Perfomante provides practical insights.

Live podcasts, panels & challenges

Visitors can also look forward to a live podcast, Businettes is hosting the panel “Scale Smart: Bootstrapped vs. VC” – moderated by founder Claire Siegert with honest insights from other founders who deliberately chose different financing paths. Scale up, in turn, challenges participants in a 45-minute workshop to think bigger about their business – including a live challenge and Growth Canvas crash course.

Cooperation with corporates

Siemens shares valuable practical experience in the workshop “5 things startups should know about partnering with corporates”. These insights come directly from Danijel Grabovac, Lead Startup and External Innovation Strategy at Siemens.

Registration for the workshops and discussions on the Club stage in the Backstage is not necessary – first-come, first-served applies on site.
