Techfounders, the accelerator program of UnternehmerTUM, offers Venture Clienting, a new program for collaboration between established companies and startups. The goal of the model, in which companies act as customers of startups, is to initiate strategic partnerships from which both sides benefit sustainably. To implement a pilot project, each project partner receives a budget of 25,000 euros.

Since its founding in 2015, Techfounders has specialized in acceleration for startups and startup scouting for companies. Now a third pillar has been added: Venture Clienting. This allows established companies to increase profitability through collaboration with startups initiated by Techfounders, find new product lines, or become more innovative in general – without having to build internal expertise themselves or manage the project extensively in-house.

Techfounders offers companies access to the international innovation ecosystem and networking events, identifies industry trends early on, and provides advice on new technologies. The team also supports companies in building internal Venture Clienting organizations to anchor collaboration with startups organizationally.

As part of the pilot program, startups also gain access to the ecosystem of UnternehmerTUM and can use their facilities in Munich. In addition, the young companies receive individual coaching from experts in the areas of founding and financing.

Techfounders accompanies the pilot project throughout its entire duration – both on the side of the corporate partner and on the side of the startup. Without having to give up shares, startups receive a project budget of 25,000 euros. These funds are intended to be used to implement a pilot project together with their corporate partner as a customer. The duration of the pilot projects is typically around 20 weeks, depending on scope and the timeline agreed between the parties.

Further information on the Venture Clienting program is available on the Techfounders website.
