Munich startup Agile Robots and Google DeepMind are launching a research partnership. The goal is to integrate Gemini robotics models into robotic systems and make robots more adaptable for industrial applications.

Munich-based robotics specialist Agile Robots grows through the acquisition of machinery manufacturer Thyssenkrupp Automation Engineering. At the same time, the company announces its first industrial humanoid Agile One.

Agile Robots now holds all shares in BMW spin-off Idealworks. BMW Group remains a long-term partner and continues to rely on the startup’s robotics technologies.

The Munich robotics specialist Agile Robots has acquired a majority stake in AI startup Audeering. The two companies want to combine their technologies for audio and speech analysis with advanced robotics solutions.

Munich robotics specialist Franka Emika, battered by insolvency, is being acquired by Agile Robots. The Munich-based robotics solutions provider has received approval from Franka Emika’s creditors’ committee for this step.

Agile Robots enters into a cooperation with deep-tech startup Voraus Robotik (formerly Yuanda Robotics) from Hanover in the cobot field (collaborative robot, editor’s note). Key objectives of the cooperation include the continued growth of both companies and the expansion of the range of innovative cobot solutions in hardware and software.
