Feldwerke secures its first external financing: a French debt fund provides 12 million euros for the expansion of an agri-PV portfolio with approximately 100 megawatts of capacity.

Omega Space Technology to settle hail damage via satellite within 72 hours
Satellite data has long been abundant. Yet in agriculture and insurance, the resolution and speed needed for concrete decisions are often missing. Munich-based startup Omega Space Technology wants to close this gap with software that automatically translates freely available ESA data into damage reports, irrigation recommendations, and operational guidance. In parallel, the company is already working on its own satellite constellation called “KingTut”, which will be used specifically for agricultural and insurance applications from 2029.

Finches: Data-driven security for supply chains
Finches translates agricultural reality into decision-relevant metrics: The Munich startup helps buyers identify risks like climate extremes, price volatility, or geopolitical disruptions early and convert them into stable procurement strategies. Karevo: AI for potatoes
What large agricultural operations have long been using, Munich-based startup Karevo wants to make available to small and medium-sized farms too: a compact, retrofittable sorting machine that automatically removes defective tubers thanks to computer vision and artificial intelligence – completely without tedious manual labor. The founders Felix Beck, Benedikt Keßler, and Johannes von Wittke explain in an interview how it all started with a master’s thesis and a potato farm in Donauwörth.

New alliance partners on board: BayWa Venture becomes AgriFoodTech Venture
New alliance in the VC sky: BayWa Venture, Multivac and the Bindewald and Gutting mill group are jointly investing around 20 million euros in agrifoodtech startups. BayWa remains the majority shareholder with 51 percent.

Inplanet raises 4.3 million euros
The German-Brazilian climate tech startup Inplanet has closed its seed round with 4.3 million euros. The fresh capital is intended to support the company in its mission to remove one million tonnes of CO2 from the atmosphere by 2026.

Farminsect secures 8 million euros in Series A
Insects as animal feed: The startup Farminsect has successfully completed another funding round for its sustainable alternative to soy and fishmeal. The Munich-based agritech receives 8 million euros from VC Sandwater and other investors.

TUM Venture Labs suchen Ideen für Agri-Pitchevent
With the Farmvision Festival, the TUM Hans Eisenmann Forum for Agricultural Sciences wants to present a possible future of agriculture. The festival will also include a pitch event for which founders can apply until April 25.
