The Munich startup LoopID develops digital solutions for the circular economy with which brands can develop circular business models. Now the company has successfully convinced investors.

The Circular City Challenge calls for participation in shaping the transformation towards circular cities. To this end, the organizers are still looking for startups and innovators until October 1 who will contribute to this transformation with their solutions. Interested parties can learn all relevant news about the competition at the online information event on September 14.

Climate change, resource scarcity, and supply shortages make the topic of circular economy particularly urgent. Participants in the panel “The next big thing: Munich’s path in the circular economy” discussed what steps are still needed to achieve a circular economy and what role startups play in it.

The founder center UnternehmerTUM is launching an initiative with Circular Republic to reduce resource consumption and advance the idea of circular economy.

As part of the Circular Cities and Regions Initiative (CCRI) launched by the European Union, Munich is becoming a pilot city for circular economy. The CCRI initiative thereby supports the process towards a circular economy in Bavaria’s state capital.

Munich-based startup Tozero has successfully completed its pre-seed funding round and raised 3.5 million euros. The round is led by Atlantic Labs, with additional investors including Verve Ventures and Possible Ventures. Co-founders from Personio and Finn as well as former Volkswagen board member Jochem Heizmann are also participating.
