Energyminer launches a pilot project in the Lech: The Munich startup generates electricity in an environmentally friendly way using floating micro hydropower plants – without interventions in nature or the river course.

Energyminer is honored at this year’s Startup Germany Summit in Berlin: During the event, Economics Minister Robert Habeck recognizes the Munich-based startup.

Energyminer wins this year’s Innovators Award from Arrow Electronics. The Munich startup receives financial support with the win and help in the development and marketing of its product. Second and third place were awarded to Blue Planet Ecosystems from Vienna and XTRA Dynamics from Heilbronn.

The Munich startup Energyminer is among the winners of this year’s Public Value Award. At the same time, the energy company announces that it is strengthening its team with industry expert Ludwig Kons effective immediately.

The winning team of this year’s Munich Business Plan Competition has been announced: Energyminer convinced the jury in the final. The startup focuses on green electricity from hydropower generated without affecting a river’s ecosystem. Sedivention came in second place, followed by Baind in third place.

Energyminer develops micro hydropower plants that are designed not to interfere with the river biotope. The company has now commissioned a pilot plant in the Auer Mühlbach in Munich.

Energyminer successfully closes its seed investment round of €900,000. A total of 11 angel investors participate in the round, bringing not only capital but also expertise from the electricity industry, marketing, IT, and product development. With the fresh capital, the energy startup plans to develop its kinetic hydroelectric power generation system to series production readiness and operate first test sites.
