The overall winner of the EU-awarded Innovation Radar Prize this year is Exomatter. With this, the Commission underscores the Munich startup’s contribution to an innovative and climate-conscious industry.

The Munich-based startup Exomatter, which has developed an AI-based platform for material properties, receives €1.7 million in pre-seed investment. Funders include Vanagon Ventures, Bayern Kapital, and other international investors.

Award for Exomatter: The Munich startup that developed a platform for material properties has been honored with the Rising Digital Award 2024. The prize comes with 30,000 euros in prize money.

Finding new materials is challenging for R&D departments because they still often rely on trial-and-error methods in the lab. With the help of computer simulations, the Munich startup Exomatter wants to change this. The company was co-founded by Barbara Prähofer in 2022.
