With the Innovation Program for Business Models and Pioneering Solutions (IGP), the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz (BMWK) wants to support small and medium-sized enterprises in implementing innovations. The now launched third call of the program targets business models and pioneering solutions for better health and care.

The Munich Startup Festival has plenty to offer beyond the main stage. Visitors to Gleisbett can expect concentrated knowledge about funding and impact entrepreneurship. The festival also makes clear how the craft industry can support tech companies and startups.

Kinexon, Everdrop, Freeletics, Edurino – several Munich startups have already consulted with Zebra Embassy. The consulting firm specializes in supporting startups and scale-ups in applying for and utilizing government funding. This way, it has generated over 50 million euros in funding for 150 startups in two years. The Munich startup Capsitec was selected by the Federal Agency for Leap Innovations for the third and final phase of the Sprind Challenge “Broad-Spectrum Antivirals”. As a result, the biotech company receives funding of €2.5 million for the next twelve months.

The Bavarian Ministry of Economics has awarded 20 startups with the Start?Grant! founder prize. The award winners include a total of 14 young companies from the Munich ecosystem.

The innovation program for business models and pioneer solutions (IGP) is directed at market-oriented non-technical innovations. In 2019, the Federal Ministry of Economics launched the program as a pilot project. Now it is being continued and permanently established.

The Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz has reissued and substantively adapted the EXIST Research Transfer and EXIST Startup Grant funding guidelines. This also includes new objectives for the guidelines.

Technology-oriented startups from all over Bavaria can apply for the Start?Zuschuss! funding program. The application deadline is January 8, 2023.
