Insempra: Biotech for a sustainable future

Series A funding: Insempra secures €18.6 million
Munich biotech Insempra successfully raises €18.6 million in its Series A round. The funding is led by EQT Ventures, with other backers including Bayern Kapital, Henkel dx Ventures, and Alante Capital.

Sprind funding for two Munich biotech startups
Insempra and Global Sustainable Transformation GST have been selected as participants in the Sprind Challenge “Circular Biomanufacturing”. This means the two Munich startups will receive up to 1.5 million euros each over the next 12 months.

Insempra invests in Solena Materials
Insempra – formerly Origin.Bio – invests in Solena Materials, a spinoff of Imperial College London that develops synthetic proteins for high-performance clothing fibers. Through the strategic investment, the IZB-based company aims to support the founding of the spinoff and accelerate the development of synthetic fibers for high-performance, naturally sustainable clothing.
