Infrastructure and expertise: the Life Science Factory as a launchpad for life science startups

Since 2024, there has been a Munich “Life Science Factory”, including fully equipped laboratories. Originally, the area was founded in 2018 by German pharmaceutical company Sartorius with the goal of promoting startups and scientific progress in the life science field. Since 2022, there has been a location in Göttingen. Startups housed in the Life Science Factory receive industry insights and founding support as well as access to valuable contacts and tailored investor matching. Well-known partners include Sartorius as well as companies such as Die Techniker, KWS Saat, Taylor Wessing, and Promega. Martin Strehle, Community Manager in Munich, answered our questions.
