The Munich startup Kontentwerk, which focuses on innovation in the distribution of audiovisual content, has founded an open cultural space for film and music in the metaverse in collaboration with the booking platform Gigmit and the Spanish design studio Plus Render. The initiative, titled CWXP, is designed to open up new business opportunities in the metaverse for creatives.

Are the metaverse, non-fungible tokens (NFTs), and Web3 short-term hypes or long-term trends that will shape the internet of the future? In a survey by the industry association Bitkom, around 150 German tech startups were asked about this. The results show varying assessments.
