You’ve surely noticed our new look here at Munich Startup. However, the relaunch is more than just a new design: With Munich Startup 2.0, the platform is evolving from a classic news portal into a personalized entry point for the Munich startup ecosystem. The new platform was presented as part of the Munich Startup Festival.

Think ahead to autumn now: we are once again taking four Munich startups to Slush 2026 in Helsinki. Applications for the package including entry, logo placement at the joint stand, and invitation to the side event are possible until August 16.

Munich Startup has established an advisory board. The new body will oversee the strategic development of the official startup portal for Munich and the region and provide momentum for the local startup ecosystem. The advisory board works in an advisory capacity and is initially appointed for the 2026 to 2028 term.

2025 was a year between awakening and realism for Munich’s startup scene: strong funding rounds, new formats, vibrant events, and growing focus on sustainable business models. Our year in review shows how resilient and dynamic the ecosystem has remained.

When Helsinki, Finland’s capital, becomes the meeting point of the international startup scene on November 30 and December 1, Munich of course cannot be missing. That’s why Munich Startup will again be represented with a booth at Slush. And like last year, we’re taking startups from Munich with us. Applications for these places are possible until August 11.
