From origami to space – how Dcubed deploys satellites

€150 million: Successful Series B for The Exploration Company
The Exploration Company secures €150 million in a Series B funding round. The funding round is led by Balderton Capital and Plural. Bessemer Venture Partners, NGP Capital, French Tech Souveraineté, DeepTech & Climate Fonds (DTCF), and Bayern Kapital are also participating. Existing investors are also returning, including EQT Ventures, Red River West, Cherry Ventures, Promus Ventures, and Omnes Real Tech Fund. The fresh capital will be used for further development and testing of the Nyx spacecraft and expansion of the 200-person team.

Vyoma: “We want to fully automate satellite operations”
Munich-based Vyoma generates space traffic data using ground-based – and soon its own space-based – sensors to enable automated satellite operations. The startup supplies satellite operators, reinsurers, space agencies, and intelligence services with valuable information. Dcubed closes successful Series A funding round

Dcubed receives government funding
The spacetech startup Dcubed and the Hochschule München receive funding from the Bavarian Ministry of Economics’ space research program. The project for satellite solar panels manufactured directly in space by the Munich-based company is also expected to include the world’s first demonstration of 3D printing in open space.
