Tracxn Technologies Limited, a leading data analytics platform, has released the “Germany Tech – 9M 2026” report, covering equity funding, exits, and unicorn activity across the German tech ecosystem from January 1, 2026 to September 30, 2026.

European defencetech startups have already raised over €6.6 billion ($7.4 billion) in venture capital in 2026 – nearly three times as much as in the entire previous year, as the new report ‘The State of Defence Tech 2026’ by Dealroom and Resilience Media shows.

Germany plans to fund tens of thousands of interceptor drones from Quantum Systems for Ukraine, to be produced directly in the country. For the Munich defense-tech company, the announcement marks another massive scale-up of its German-Ukrainian production.

Quantum Systems expands its business on and under water: With Seavex and Subvex, the company introduces two unmanned maritime systems. They are designed to operate for up to two months at sea and dive up to 6,000 meters deep – connected to aerial and land systems via a unified software platform.

With billion-euro funding, Quantum Systems is advancing the expansion of its autonomous systems. The company valuation is growing to approximately seven billion euros.

Quantum Systems secures additional financing: The European Investment Bank as well as Commerzbank, Deutsche Bank and KfW provide capital worth €150 million for further growth and industrial scaling.

Defence tech company Quantum Systems is expanding its portfolio through the acquisition of Fernride and is simultaneously winning a major Bundeswehr contract. The combination of air and ground autonomy strengthens the Munich company’s position in the defence sector.

Quantum Systems significantly increases its valuation and receives a total of €340 million in 2025 – Europe’s largest dual-use financing to date. The Munich-based company plans further growth, technology expansion, and strategic acquisitions with this funding.

Munich-based startup Quantum Systems will be collaborating with Planet Labs in the future. Together, they are developing a European information network that links satellite and drone data – for faster, more precise decision-making and greater security.

The merger of both companies aims to expand Quantum Systems’s software expertise and accelerate product development.
