The bike startup Sushi Bikes has been sold following an insolvency proceeding. A newly founded company of Wealth Collect Holding is continuing the brand and business.

According to rumors, Munich e-bike startup is bankrupt. The fact is: Munich District Court ordered provisional insolvency administration. Founder Andy Weinzierl is currently exploring restructuring options.

Since 2018, Sushi Bikes has been selling e-bikes – without venture capital support so far. However, the Munich startup has now completed its first financing round and convinced several investors in the process.
