Inspired by vertical farming, Max Lössl and Philipp Wagner founded Agrilution in 2013. The vision: to harvest fresh salads, herbs, and microgreens in your own kitchen – without pesticides, without long transport routes. Instead, packed with nutrients and vitamins, as close as possible to the place of consumption and therefore as fresh as possible. Today, the international 30-person team of product designers, plant scientists, technicians, and sales professionals has developed the first personal vertical farming ecosystem for private kitchens and restaurants. Design has always played a major role. The plants are at the center. No frills. Clean lines, high-quality materials, and the endeavor to highlight the aesthetics of the plants. Thanks to the Plantcube, many people in cities can grow greens with incredible flavor, texture, and nutritional value in their own homes. Automatic watering, climate and light control, easy planting with pre-produced seed mats, and app-based control ensure simple handling. But the journey continues in the mind. What if, in a few years, you could harvest at home based on your personal needs exactly what your body actually needs to be healthy and remain so for as long as possible?
