DHS Africa

DHS Africa is a German health technology company. We build and operate digital health systems for hospitals and clinics in Sub-Saharan Africa, with a focus on East Africa: Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, and Tanzania. We work as an implementation partner. We plan, build, implement, and operate systems together with the client. A comprehensive platform brings a hospital or clinic onto a shared patient record: registration and admission, appointment scheduling, physician workspace, records, lab, pharmacy, billing and cash desk, patient communication, telemedicine, and reporting. The systems are offline-first and GDPR-compliant and run even with poor connectivity. We integrate national health insurance schemes like SHA in Kenya, mobile money such as M-Pesa and MTN MoMo, as well as WhatsApp, USSD, and SMS. AI runs as a support layer, and every output is reviewed by a physician before it enters the patient record. Our teams are based in Germany, Kenya, and Uganda.

heycare is the leading work-life benefit app. As an innovative care solution and employee assistance program (EAP), the heycare app offers support in the areas of mental care, child care, elder care, and pet care. Companies receive a holistic solution to sustainably support their employees in every life situation, reduce downtime caused by care bottlenecks, and position themselves as attractive employers at the same time. Over 200 companies in the DACH region – including SAP, Johnson & Johnson, Boehringer, TÜV Süd, and Daimler Truck – already rely on heycare.

KYMATI develops and markets a proprietary radar sensor product portfolio of unmatched precision that is already established in international industrial automation markets. It enables diverse, simple and more complex customer solutions, for example, KYMATI convinced Europe’s largest container port in summer 2023 following a competitive bidding process to order a radar-based position measurement and anti-collision system worth several million euros (product-market fit). Former core technology teams from Symeo (radar spin-off from Siemens) and Airbus (deckfinder team) jointly founded KYMATI in 2018 and developed the scalable 61-GHz radar sensor platform (hardware and software). Technological expertise and unique long-term market access distinguish the company in the industry, for example to enable future growth markets such as automatic VTOL landing at specific points on the ground, ship, platforms or even moving trailers. 3D landing navigation has proven itself in commercial and defense studies with partners such as KNDS, Avilus, Stromkind, Vestas, Siemens Gamesa, the Danish Navy and many others. 1.9 million euros in revenue in 2024 in industrial automation and container terminals demonstrate traction in the market. KYMATI has a backlog of 9 million euros mid-2025, which will bring the company to monthly cash break-even by end of 2025.
