ARCIS

ARCIS builds an AI-powered decision layer for logistics and freight operations. Many logistics teams today still work with fragmented processes across TMS systems, Excel files, emails, PDFs, and the individual experience of dispatchers. This results in manual work, slow handoffs, missing information, and inefficient planning decisions. ARCIS was founded by Onur Yılmaz and Birkan Kolcu, two computer engineers whose collaboration began 14 years ago as fellow students, roommates, and long-term technical partners. Onur combines computer science expertise, business-building experience, an MSc in Informatics from Technical University of Munich, experience at Intel, and strong connections to Munich’s startup ecosystem. Birkan brings technical depth from his computer science degree at the University of Arizona as well as practical experience in cloud engineering and scalable systems. The focus on logistics emerged from close relationships with logistics companies and operators in the team’s network. As these conversations increased, a recurring pattern became clear: high-quality operational decisions are still made manually across scattered systems and personal experience. ARCIS helps logistics teams connect this information and make decisions around dispatch planning, load-truck-driver matching, capacity utilization, document processes, and operational exceptions faster and more reliably—without replacing existing systems.

If you use Google Workspace for work and Apple iCloud privately—or juggle multiple Outlook accounts as a freelancer—you know the problem: double bookings, manual synchronization, and the uneasy feeling when appointment details end up in foreign systems. Calendar Sync solves this by synchronizing only free/busy availability between calendars. No titles, no participants, no notes leave your respective account. In the target calendar, only “Blocked” appears—the time slot is reserved, the content stays private. Supported are Google Calendar, Microsoft Outlook, Apple iCloud, Infomaniak KSuite, and any iCal feeds. The entire infrastructure runs at Hetzner in Nuremberg, and a data processing agreement is available. Calendar Sync is aimed at freelancers, self-employed professionals, small teams, and families in the DACH region who use multiple calendars and want to avoid double bookings without giving sensitive data to US services. Currently free to use, pricing coming in the next few weeks.

DHS Africa

DHS Africa is a German health technology company. We build and operate digital health systems for hospitals and clinics in Sub-Saharan Africa, with a focus on East Africa: Kenya, Uganda, Rwanda, and Tanzania. We work as an implementation partner. We plan, build, implement, and operate systems together with the client. A comprehensive platform brings a hospital or clinic onto a shared patient record: registration and admission, appointment scheduling, physician workspace, records, lab, pharmacy, billing and cash desk, patient communication, telemedicine, and reporting. The systems are offline-first and GDPR-compliant and run even with poor connectivity. We integrate national health insurance schemes like SHA in Kenya, mobile money such as M-Pesa and MTN MoMo, as well as WhatsApp, USSD, and SMS. AI runs as a support layer, and every output is reviewed by a physician before it enters the patient record. Our teams are based in Germany, Kenya, and Uganda.
