About The Ocean Package
Have you ever thought about how many cardboard boxes you receive every year? On average, each German receives around 50 packages per year. Joshua and Philip ensure with The Ocean Package that only 1/20 of them end up in the trash immediately afterwards! 4.2 billion packages were shipped in Germany in 2021. This online shipping generated more than 6.45 million tons of CO2 in a market that alone grew by over 23% last year. This results in approximately 18.9 million tons of packaging waste. How much material and therefore money can be saved through reusable packaging? Compared to cardboard boxes, our reusable packaging can be used 20 times as often and saves up to 95% of the packaging waste generated by single-use alternatives. Additionally, our packaging solution is 100% recyclable and reduces 80% of the CO2 emissions caused by single-use packaging. Our customers also save up to 70% of packaging costs compared to comparable single-use products when using our reusable product 20 times. We offer an individualized and customer-specific packaging solution and have successfully validated our proof of concept with the help of initial pilot projects. Another unique selling point is the use of ocean plastic in our packaging. This reduces acute ocean pollution, improves our carbon footprint, and once again guarantees the conservation of valuable resources through the use of at least 70% recycled materials in our packaging. Our goal is to replace at least 5% of packages traded in Germany through our reusable system by 2030. In numbers, that would mean replacing 210 million single-use packages with 10.5 million of our reusable packages based on current figures. Advantages of The Ocean Package at a glance: We offer competitive pricing compared to cardboard in the form of a resource-efficient circular system. Through our 360° solution for e-commerce logistics, we create significant CO2 savings for our customers. We look forward to hearing from you and together making online retail more environmentally friendly!
