About TUM Carbon Removal Initiative e.V.
The TUM Carbon Removal Initiative e.V. has set itself the goal of actively contributing to climate protection with innovative carbon dioxide removal technologies (Direct Air Capture). Given the increasing CO2 emissions and their impact on the climate, it is essential not only to reduce emissions but also to remove CO2 that has already been released from the atmosphere. After three years of research, we are now developing a pilot plant that will remove several tons of CO2 directly from the atmosphere annually. Our team consists of 40 dedicated students from the Technical University of Munich (TUM) who are working with passion and technical expertise toward a more sustainable future. As a non-profit association, we depend on support and funding to successfully advance our mission.
