DIE MATHLETEN is an innovative EdTech startup for self-published online courses and math books from Munich.
With the company “Mathe in schön GmbH”, which stands behind the brand, DIE MATHLETEN have specialized in teaching mathematics in a uniquely aesthetic and easily understandable way.
Launched in 2018 by Bettina Cornean as a Munich-based math tutoring school alongside her mathematics studies, DIE MATHLETEN experienced rapid growth during the Corona pandemic.
They now offer various books as well as online courses on their own online learning platform, thereby changing the way mathematics is taught, learned and therefore perceived.
The focus is on a social learning concept that offers 24/7 supervision and support. With a growing community and a team of seven employees, DIE MATHLETEN creates a dynamic, colorful, and beautiful learning environment where students can develop their mathematical potential.
Our unique USP lies in our approach of “Math – but beautifully”.
We have succeeded in creating an aesthetic lifestyle brand around mathematics that is celebrated by our community on social media.
Our books are sometimes as hyped in our community as the latest iPhone, and our courses are shared in stories almost as much as a visit to Disneyland.
With several thousand participants annually in our Abitur preparation program and one in 20 high school graduates already learning with our books, we have established a demonstrably successful business model in the education sector.
Co-founders Bettina Cornean and Raphael Latzel bring an impressive combination of experience and expertise:
Raphael coordinated systems and projects for Germany's largest boardsports and streetwear online shop in the early days of e-commerce (in the late 2000s and early 2010s), while Bettina developed the idea for DIE MATHLETEN during her mathematics and later physics bachelor's studies at LMU, and plans to complete her master's in physics soon as well.
We are currently planning to launch our own learning app for mobile devices in the near future.
DIE MATHLETEN is changing the way mathematics is learned and understood and offers an exciting online platform for pupils, students and mathematics enthusiasts throughout Germany.
