Famous Hostels is a non-profit association dedicated to promoting the hostel industry by bringing together a network of the best hostels in noteworthy locations across Europe. Each selected accommodation in 50 cities in 19 countries holds the title “The Famous Hostel” for its location. Famous Hostels not only promotes its member accommodations and their travel destinations, but also works to improve the standards of the hostel industry in Europe. Through organizing trade fairs, training, and strategic partnerships, the association aims to enhance the overall experience for visitors and encourage the implementation of best practices among its members.
Up to 20 percent discount on stays through new cooperation with Flix
Through the new partnership with Flix, travelers who book at Europe’s Famous Hostels through the website famoushostels.com receive up to 20 percent discount on their stay when traveling to their destination by Flixbus. The exact discount for each booking is calculated by the Eco-Wanderer platform set up by Europe’s Famous Hostels. This compares the average emission factor of Flixbus per passenger and kilometer with that of an airplane on the selected route and creates a corresponding voucher based on this data. To redeem the discount, travelers only need to present this voucher along with their Flixbus ticket at check-in at the chosen accommodation.

In addition, travelers receive a discount that can be redeemed throughout Flix’s entire international network, which connects over 5,600 destinations in more than 40 countries.
