The Strascheg Ideas Award 2026 is looking for innovative business ideas from Munich. A total of 30,000 euros in prize money awaits teams in three categories. Applications are possible until September 13.

Until January 25, 2026, aspiring founders can apply for the free SCE Incubation at Hochschule München. The program supports startups in the pre-founding phase with coaching, infrastructure, and funding advice worth over 30,000 euros.

The winning teams of the Strascheg Award 2025 are now determined. With innovative ideas from studies, research, and the SCE ecosystem, the founders convinced both the jury and the audience.

The Strascheg Award 2025 is looking for the best business ideas from Munich. A total of 30,000 euros in prize money is available across three categories – for the first time also for external startups with a validated business model.

The European startup hub ranking 2025 is here: in the current rankings by Financial Times and Statista, four Munich founder centers have made it into the top 12: UnternehmerTUM, Start2 Group, the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE), and Baystartup. Werk1 is also represented in the ranking. Further proof of Munich’s strong position as a startup hub in Europe.

The SCE Precelerator aims to motivate young people to start their own businesses. This offering has been available at Hochschule München since 2020, with the café added as a very important first touchpoint of the community space in early 2023. The SCE Accelerator program of Hochschule München (HM) and Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) is launching a new round and is looking for innovative startup ideas. The application deadline is August 9.

The Drink Innovation Campus (DICA) accelerator program is entering its ninth round and is looking for startups with new ideas for the beverage industry. Startups can apply by May 2.

The Hochschule München (HM) and the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE) take the top position in the startup radar 2022 in the ‘large universities’ category, i.e., universities with more than 15,000 students. HM achieved 58.9 out of a possible 60 points in this startup radar. In 2020, HM was still in second place.

Munich University of Applied Sciences (HM) and its entrepreneurship center, the Strascheg Center for Entrepreneurship (SCE), are launching the ninth batch of their funding program for aspiring founders. Applications for the startup certificate are still possible until January 16.

The Bavaria Israel Partnership Accelerator (BIPA) wins the Shimon Peres Prize 2022. Foreign Minister Annalena Baerbock presented the award.
