With the first own “Munich Haus,” a high-caliber delegation, and startups on an expansion course, Munich proved that it is already a global powerhouse.

“Connecting hubs. Brewing innovation.” was the motto of the first Munich Haus in Austin: Last Saturday, the Munich Haus celebrated its premiere at SXSW 2026. In the historic German-Texan Heritage Society, Bavarian hospitality and Texan innovation spirit came together. With over 1,400 registrations, the Munich delegation’s first own house became an instant crowd magnet.

Munich meets Austin and brings deep tech, AI and Bavarian lifestyle directly to SXSW 2026. With the Munich Haus, Munich Startup is creating a stage for innovation, international networking and genuine collaboration between two of the most exciting tech ecosystems in the world. From dual-use innovations to the “Super Connectors” pitch format to white sausage breakfast and Oktoberfest atmosphere: now is the moment to become part of this transatlantic success story as a partner.

Munich Startup and Munich Business are once again looking for innovative startups for the delegation to SXSW 2026 in Austin, Texas. Up to ten young companies will have the opportunity to take their ideas international. Application deadline is November 23, 2025.

This year, a Munich delegation is traveling to South by Southwest (SXSW) in Austin, Texas. From March 7–15, 2025, ten innovative startups from the Bavarian state capital are using the international stage to present themselves and their ideas.

It’s that time again: Together with Munich Business and the competence team Culture and Creative Industries Munich, Munich Startup is organizing a startup delegation to SXSW in Austin, Texas again. Up to ten startups get the opportunity to be part of the delegation. Application deadline is November 10.

This year as well, Munich Startup is sending selected startups as part of a delegation to SXSW in Austin together with Munich Business and the competence team for culture and creative industries Munich. Among them: Ägile Ässets, Angsa Robotics, Atopia, Bavertis, Certivity, Dromni, Elive, Envoria, and Summ AI.

From March 8-16, 2024, technology conference and culture festival come together again at SXSW in Austin, Texas. And Munich startups get the chance to be part of it: Together with Munich Business and the competence team for culture and creative industries Munich, Munich Startup awards participation packages to up to 10 startups.

The latest technologies, film and television, music, education, and culture come together at SXSW in Austin, Texas from March 10-19, 2023. The Landeshauptstadt München will also be represented with a delegation. Taking part: Brainamics, Liangdao, Farminsect, Reverion, StellDirVor, and Kontextlab.

From March 10-19, 2023, SXSW will take place again in Austin, Texas. Together with the Landeshauptstadt München and other partners, Munich Startup is giving founders the chance to participate in the world’s largest digital, innovation and creative conference and trade show. The application deadline is January 15, 2023.
