The Egym corporate fitness network Wellpass is already available in Germany, Austria, France and Belgium. Most recently, the acquisition of Hussle added the United Kingdom. With the now completed acquisition of Fitreserve, the Munich-based company is bringing its Wellpass offering to the USA. According to its own information, the studio and fitness network has almost 2,000 partners. With the acquisition, Fitreserve is now exclusively available to Wellpass corporate customers.

Philipp Roesch-Schlanderer, CEO of Egym, explains:

“Entry into the world’s largest and most important corporate fitness and wellness market brings enormous growth potential for Egym Wellpass. We are impressed by how dynamically Fitreserve is already developing in the USA. The brand enjoys high acceptance among the most popular providers in the American fitness sector. We have always viewed the 20-billion-dollar corporate wellness market in the USA as a strategic expansion opportunity for Egym Wellpass. We are delighted to turn this vision into reality with the acquisition of Fitreserve and its first-class studio and fitness partner network.”

Egym Wellpass with access to 20,000 fitness and wellness facilities

With the integration of Fitreserve, Egym now serves over 16,000 corporate customers according to its own information. The Munich-based company offers them access to around 20,000 fitness and wellness facilities in Europe and the USA. Wellpass aims to cover a wide range of activities and services. From classic fitness and yoga training to mental health, sleep optimization and nutritional advice, many offerings are available both offline and online.

Megan Smyth, founder of Fitreserve and now director of partner sales in North America at Egym, says:

“We are very excited to become part of the Egym family and continue Wellpass’s success in Europe in the USA. Our mission has always been to acquire new customers and generate additional revenue for our studio and fitness partners. As part of Egym’s corporate network, we are now pursuing this mission on a larger scale while helping employees lead healthier, more active lives.”

Fitreserve was originally developed as a direct-to-consumer offering and is active in over 60 US metropolitan areas. Egym wants to expand this potential through integration into the Wellpass network and offer companies in the USA a comprehensive employee health solution.

Nicolas Stadtelmeyer, managing director of Egym Wellpass, emphasizes:

“We warmly welcome Megan and the entire Fitreserve team and look forward to making Wellpass accessible to employers in the USA and offering their employees Fitreserve’s extensive network of partner studios as the perfect counterbalance to a demanding work environment.”
