Workerhero – formerly known as Driverhero – was founded in 2021 by Richard Fischer, Steven Miller, Michael König, and Emanuel Wernitz to address the skilled worker shortage. Using AI-powered sourcing and matching, the platform aims to bring companies together with suitable candidates. According to the company, over 70,000 user profiles are currently available on the platform. Well-known companies such as Telekom, Hellofresh, and Baywa recruit with the help of the Munich-based company.
Unwavering commitment to user-friendliness and quality
On the current funding round of four million euros, Patrick de Wachter, Director of Corporate Development at Mediahuis, says:
“Workerhero’s outstanding performance demonstrates how effective it is to focus on clearly defined worker sectors and find suitable candidates much faster than broader market participants. Workerhero’s unwavering commitment to user-friendliness and quality has led to impressive growth since its founding. We look forward to supporting Workerhero in its future growth and are excited about the company’s continued success.”
Focus on international recruitment
The completed funding round is intended to enable the Munich startup to continue scaling and enter new industries. An upgrade to a new platform version is designed to further simplify recruiting and job search for users. The updated version also offers an improved design and expanded features, including advanced AI tools.
Furthermore, Workerhero aims to focus on international recruitment to support companies in recruiting skilled workers from abroad.
Richard Fischer, CEO and co-founder of Workerhero, emphasizes:
“We want to solve the labor shortage in Europe by helping companies find skilled workers both domestically and from abroad. With the support of Mediahuis and our existing investors, we are well-positioned to realize our vision.”
