Munich Startup: What does Alpha Prompt do? What problem are you solving?
Sven Bauer, CEO Alpha Prompt: Every property is unique and generates enormous amounts of data – from blueprints and permits to consumption data and leases to tenant communication. But the industry struggles with missing standards, and even when they exist, companies often implement their own customizations. This results in data that is often incomplete, erroneous, or difficult to access.
Alpha Prompt automates exactly that: it structures, standardizes, and makes data immediately usable – without system changes and with the necessary flexibility. This reduces manual work, improves decisions, and increases efficiency.
Munich Startup: But that already exists!
Sven Bauer: Of course there are providers who prepare data according to their predefined standards – but that’s exactly where the problem lies. These solutions work with rigid specifications that don’t reflect the reality of the real estate industry.
A simple question as an example: How much rentable space does a building have? Is there a clear answer to this? No! Depending on the “standard,” the rental space varies considerably.
Since this heterogeneity cannot be simply resolved, we need a solution that adapts rather than enforces rigid standards. That’s exactly what AlphaPrompt offers: Our AI combines structuring with flexibility, so companies can map their individual requirements – without manual preparation.
From student consulting to own business
Munich Startup: What’s your founding story?
Sven Bauer: Nino Paulus, Karl Preuss – both with real estate backgrounds – and I met in student consulting. Through shared projects, we grew as a team and later founded our own business intelligence consulting firm focused on real estate companies.
In our projects, we quickly realized that insufficient data quality caused enormous extra work. We saw how much time was spent on manual corrections, missing standards, and unclear data interpretation.
Instead of just presenting data better, we wanted to solve the root problem: automatically structure, validate, and make data usable – without manual work. Generative AI gave us exactly that opportunity. That’s how AlphaPrompt was created.
Munich Startup: What have been your biggest challenges so far?
Sven Bauer: The real estate industry is skeptical about AI – not without reason, as many earlier solutions didn’t work. Our biggest challenge was (and is) raising market awareness about the potential of generative AI and demonstrating its real added value.
The right hand for every decision in real estate companies
Munich Startup: Where do you want to be in one year, and where in five years?
Sven Bauer: This year we’re launching our seed round to strengthen our team, product, and customer relationships.
In five years, Alpha Prompt will operate at the level of a senior analyst – it won’t just prepare and analyze real estate data, but also autonomously handle far-reaching processes. In short: Our AI will be the right hand for every decision and an indispensable tool for real estate companies.
Munich Startup: How have you experienced Munich as a startup location so far?
Sven Bauer: Munich is the ideal location for us – it combines real estate companies, investors, and a strong tech ecosystem. We’ve particularly benefited from the Werk1 community so far!
Munich Startup: Outsource or do it yourself?
Sven Bauer: Develop core technologies in-house, partner with strong players for everything else!
