Munich Startup: What does Voiceline do? What problem does your solution solve?
Nicolas Höflinger, Voiceline: Voiceline helps companies massively reduce the workload in their field service operations. Instead of struggling to type reports and update CRM data after customer meetings, field service employees simply speak two to three minutes into the app. Our AI automatically transforms these recordings into structured visit reports, CRM updates, and tasks – quickly, cleanly, and securely. This leaves more time for what really matters: the customer.
And that’s not all: sales managers finally get a real overview of what’s happening in the team, with customers, and in the market – which topics and market trends are emerging out there. This enables them to make more informed decisions and react faster.

Munich Startup: But that already exists, doesn’t it?
Nicolas Höflinger: True – there are many tools that simply transcribe speech. Voiceline goes far beyond that. We’re not a voice-to-text solution, but an AI-powered assistant platform that automates complex sales processes via voice input – from customer visits to analysis. Voiceline doesn’t just automatically create visit reports, but also transfers tasks directly to the back office, analyzes customer feedback centrally, and even supports sales staff with targeted coaching before the next meeting. And the best part: everything works within our customers’ existing systems and workflows – whether CRM, ticketing, or internal tools.
From everyday experience to business idea
Munich Startup: What’s your founding story?
Nicolas Höflinger: The idea for Voiceline came from a simple thought: working with your voice is much more efficient than typing. Our founding team experienced firsthand how much time is lost in the daily sales routine because long reports must be written and CRM systems maintained after every meeting. It’s much more natural and faster to simply speak your thoughts. So we developed Voiceline – a solution that automatically creates high-quality sales documentation from spoken language. Our goal: to make field service smarter and more human.
Munich Startup: What have been your biggest challenges so far?
Nicolas Höflinger: To be honest: artificial intelligence in the sales routine was long a “nice to have”, and now it’s a “must have”. We also invested a lot in fine-tuning to ensure Voiceline truly integrates seamlessly into our customers’ complex CRM environments – flexibly, securely, and reliably. This work is paying off today.
Munich Startup: How is business going?
Nicolas Höflinger: We’ve been live since 2020 and growing strongly: we now have more than 20 people at Voiceline. Several enterprise and mid-market companies use Voiceline daily in their field service operations. Our AI processes thousands of sales activities per field service employee per day – and the trend is rising. The need to make field service processes more efficient is huge – and with every new customer we see that this is exactly the right time for Voiceline.
Substance over show
Munich Startup: How have you experienced the Munich startup location so far?
Nicolas Höflinger: Munich is the perfect place for us to grow. The proximity to strong industrial customers, the high quality standards, and a well-networked ecosystem create the ideal mix of challenge and tailwind. Particularly in the B2B space, Munich isn’t loud, but it’s a very productive location. That aligns well with our philosophy: substance over show. We encounter many genuine entrepreneurs here – pragmatic, open to new solutions, but always with a clear eye for added value. This environment is exactly what drives us forward.
Munich Startup: Hidden champion or shooting star?
Nicolas Höflinger: Probably both – a hidden champion with shooting star potential. We’re solving an everyday but enormously impactful problem in field service that many companies have tolerated for a long time. Our customers are already celebrating Voiceline as a game changer. At the same time, we’re still at the very beginning of a larger development – AI will fundamentally change the sales routine, and we’re convinced: Voiceline will play a key role in this.
