**Rank 1:** The Munich technology company **Quantum Systems** successfully completed a funding round of 160 million euros in May and secured unicorn status. The Series C round was led by Balderton Capital. Other new investors include Hensoldt, Airbus Defence and Space, Bullhound Capital, and LP&E AG. Existing investors HV Capital, Project A, Peter Thiel, DTCP, Omnes Capital, Notion, and Porsche SE also participated again. With this financing, the Munich-based company aims to accelerate its global expansion, scale production capacity, and further develop its autonomous drone systems, software, and AI technologies. **Rank 2:** **CedarDB** has completed a seed investment of 5.3 million euros. The funding round was led by Amplify Partners. Several renowned angel investors also supported the young company, including Hanno Renner, CEO of Personio, and Jordan Tigani, CEO of Motherduck. The startup develops a modern database system that combines speed, versatility, and efficiency in a single platform. The system replaces complex data stacks with a unified solution that supports various data formats – relational, graph, and document-based – and is suitable for both business analytics and AI applications. The funding forms a key building block for the startup’s continued growth, both in personnel and technology. **Rank 3:** **Ororatech** was able to expand its Series B funding round to a total of 37 million euros in May. In addition to existing investors such as Bayern Kapital, who participated again through the ScaleUp Bayern fund, other investors also joined. These include BNP Paribas Solar Impulse Venture Fund as lead investor, Rabo Ventures, Edaphon, and the European Circular Bioeconomy Fund (ECBF). Previously, the company had already raised 25 million euros. Ororatech develops satellite-based solutions for detecting and assessing the risk of forest fires. The company uses specially developed multispectral thermal imaging cameras installed on nanosatellites – barely larger than a shoebox. Using artificial intelligence, the so-called Wildfire Intelligence Solution analyzes thermal data, identifies potential fire sources, and simulates their further behavior. (Photo: Ororatech)

Pulsetrain Niclas Lehnert — **Rank 4:** **Pulsetrain** is revolutionizing battery management for electric vehicles: with AI, real-time cell control, and a radically new system, they extend battery life by up to 80 percent.
