Munich Startup: What does Connect Hub AI do?

Gabriela Galic: Connect Hub AI is an AI-powered platform for modern, human-centered recruiting and internal talent management. We combine scientifically-backed personality tests with data-driven matching to find the right people for the right roles, based on personality, skills, and team fit. New is our Employee-Overview and Personality-Insights feature, the Team-Balance-Dashboard: an interactive overview that shows companies in real time how their teams are composed. HR leaders and managers see at a glance the distribution of personality types (Collaborator, Analyst, Driver, Innovator), recognize strengths, skill gaps, and team balance across departments. This allows them to deliberately balance teams, identify development potential, and deploy employees where they can have the greatest impact.

With Connect Hub AI, recruiting and team management become data-driven, transparent, and finally human.

Munich Startup: But that’s been around for ages!

Gabriela Galic: Not in this form. Many personality tests end up as a one-time PDF file that’s never used again. With Connect Hub AI, we make personality tests a living part of employee profiles. Our platform creates transparency, continuously links data, and shows how teams can be optimally composed and developed. Our goal is to seamlessly integrate Connect Hub AI into existing HR system landscapes, with interfaces to tools like Personio, SAP SuccessFactors, Workday, as well as internal employee profiles. This makes our solution a central component of modern talent and team work.

From shared mentoring experience to startup idea

Munich Startup: What’s your founding story?

Gabriela Galic: The idea for Connect Hub AI emerged from personal experience. Valerie Busse and I met at Deloitte as part of a mentoring program. At Deloitte, personality tests are used globally and are firmly anchored in internal employee profiles. Valerie and I asked ourselves: Why don’t other companies use this knowledge to put their teams together better? Why does so much potential go unused? As founders, we’re clear on this: when people work in positions that match their personality, satisfaction, performance, and cohesion increase. Connect Hub AI was born from this insight.

Munich Startup: What have been your biggest challenges so far?

Gabriela Galic: Our biggest challenge was translating psychological insights into a digital product that is scientifically sound yet intuitive to use. It also takes courage to question traditional HR processes and win companies over to a new, data-driven, and more human approach to HR. Additionally, we need to maintain balance between product development, funding, and focus. We have so many ideas and drive, but we can’t lose focus in the process.

Pilot projects and product development

Munich Startup: How’s business going?

Gabriela Galic: We’ve developed our MVP (=Minimum Viable Product) and are currently launching our first pilot projects with companies. In parallel, we’re building a partner network in the HR sector and having conversations with interested firms. The feedback is clear: there’s a huge need for transparency around employee strengths and potential – and that’s exactly where Connect Hub AI comes in. In the coming year, we want to generate further revenue and expand our platform, including the mentoring program area, to leverage personality profiles for internal development and employee retention.

Munich Startup: How do you experience Munich as a location?

Gabriela Galic: Munich is the perfect place for us to found a company. Valerie is from Munich and I studied at TU München, which of course makes it easier! The city has a strong mix of technology, business, and research. Through networks like UnternehmerTUM, Bits & Pretzels, your platform Munich Startup, and other founder platforms for women, we were able to quickly build valuable contacts. Munich not only provides access to large companies, but also to talented people from outstanding universities.

Munich Startup: Outsource or do it yourself?

Gabriela Galic: We believe in a healthy balance. We deliberately keep strategic areas like product development, psychology, and AI logic in-house – that’s our core. For specialized topics like design, frontend development, or marketing campaigns, we work with experienced partners. This way we stay focused, efficient, and can ensure both quality and vision.
