The investment round of XO Life of seven million euros is led by Norwegian VC Sandwater and German VC Grazia Equity. VI Partners from Switzerland and Bayern Kapital are co-investors. Existing investors such as Aescuvest, Winning Mindset Ventures and Isartal Ventures as well as additional investors and family offices from the healthcare and care sector have also participated in this funding round.
Verified medical information for patients
XO Life has developed a meta-platform that is designed to serve as a digital companion for patients regarding their medications, products, therapies, and diseases. The platform aims to provide patients with verified medical information, collect feedback, and enable exchange and medical support. Pharmaceutical and medtech manufacturers as well as other healthcare stakeholders offer specific product and therapy areas on the platform. The ImpactMonitor platform also aims to help manufacturers and research institutions (the latter free of charge) identify patient needs and preferences, and supports the development of new patient-focused therapies. To ensure an objective and free user experience, there are currently no exclusive content or sponsorship by manufacturers. Registration on the ImpactMonitor platform is free via Mac, PC, or the app for iOS and Android. Friederike Bruchmann, co-founder and CEO of XO Life, is delighted about the current funding round:
“This investment will enable us to further develop our technology and expand internationally. Having proven our success in the German market, we want to tackle global healthcare challenges and make our innovative solutions accessible to a broader audience.”
“Closes an important gap in healthcare”
Morten E. Iversen, partner at Sandwater, explains:
“We are excited about the unique opportunities and possibilities of XO Life’s meta-platform. We are convinced that the ImpactMonitor platform will close an important gap in healthcare by providing comprehensive health information and patient support across Europe and beyond.”
And Markus Mrachacz, managing director at Bayern Kapital, adds:
“XO Life’s intuitive platform provides patients with validated medical information and gives medical facilities and pharmaceutical companies better insights into patient questions and needs. This combination makes XO Life an exciting opportunity in digital health for us.”
