Just recently, Spreadly announced the acquisition of a competitor, and now comes the next move by founders Darius Göttert and Florian Theimer. They have secured a convertible loan from various business angels with startup and M&A backgrounds. The exact investment amount and the names of the investors are not being disclosed by Spreadly due to the competitive market. However, the startup reveals that the investment is based on a company valuation of €2.5 million.

With the capital raised, Spreadly plans to strengthen its sales team and further develop its software. The Munich-based founders also want to expand into India. Through participation in the “German Accelerator Asian Discovery Program” and “German Accelerator Indian Discovery Program”, the Munich founders were able to get to know the market. Co-founder Darius Göttert explains:

“We are very pleased about our investors’ confidence in Spreadly’s vision and business model. With the capital raised, we will further develop our software, strengthen our sales team, and continue to accelerate our company growth.”

Spreadly receives pre-seed financing eleven months after founding

Darius Göttert and Florian Theimer founded Spreadly in September 2022. Since then, they have equipped companies of all sizes with digital business cards. This way, the startup wants to help the business world not only reduce waste but also become more efficient. Unlike traditional paper business cards, the information no longer needs to be manually transferred to the recipients’ contacts and CRM—this happens automatically thanks to the Munich-based founders. Additionally, users can edit their own digital business card at any time, for example when their position or phone number changes.

According to its own information, Spreadly already has over 40,000 users in more than 100 countries. With a major Swiss corporation, the company has also been able to convince its first globally operating customer since August of this year.
