The fresh money for Munevo comes from Bavaria Capital, the BayBG, Be10x Capital, Roca X, other existing investors, and business angels. Founded in 2018, the company emerged from a university course at the Department of Business Information Systems at the Technical University of Munich. The Munich-based company's solution uses smart glasses to enable head-controlled electric wheelchairs. In addition, other devices such as smartphones or robotic arms can be operated by head movement.
“We are certain that Munevo has all the prerequisites to be successful internationally.”
With the new financing round, the Munich companies meet the growing demand for its solution, expand its sales network in the USA and expand its partnerships in Europe.
“We are very proud that the new funding will enable Munevo to grow and help many people,”
so Claudiu Leverenz, CEO and co-founder of the startup.
“We are very pleased that the venture capitalists involved have given us access to the necessary financial resources to grow the company quickly.”
BayBG Investment Manager Peter Graf says:
"We already invested in Munevo GmbH in 2020, back then with mezzanine capital. The company convinced us as a technology leader with its groundbreaking product and innovative developments. We are confident that with this current financing round, Munevo has all the prerequisites for a successful international launch."
