Ampeers Energy
Ampeers Energy offers a cloud-based energy management platform that enables companies to leverage the economic and ecological potential of the energy transition. This platform is based on Fraunhofer software. The startup’s service portfolio includes a district energy management tool, a tenant electricity app, and a software solution for controlled charging of electric vehicles. The foundation of the software offering is the AI-supported energy management platform ‘EMS-EDM PROPHET’. The startup’s goal is to make decentralized energy transition a profitable business model for companies. (Photo: Ampeers Energy)
Energyminer
Energyminer develops and operates kinetic hydroelectric power plants. The micro-hydroelectric power plants of the Munich company generate electricity from the flow velocity of rivers without interfering with the river’s ecosystem. The power plants are located almost entirely underwater and are barely visible. Inside, a turbine system works that is powered by the river’s flow velocity. When flooding or ice jam occurs, the system automatically sinks to the bottom and protects itself – but continues to produce electricity. Energyminer’s goal is to establish kinetic hydropower as a key component of the energy transition. (Photo: Isenhoff / Philip Herzhoff)
Andreas Sichert, Co-Founder and CEO Orcan Energy
Orcan Energy produces energy modules for converting waste heat into clean electricity. The company’s technology utilizes small to medium-sized industrial heat sources in the low-temperature range to generate electricity. Possible applications for the solution include engines, industrial processes, and ships. According to company information, more than 500 systems from the Munich startup are in operation worldwide. They have already helped save over 130,000 tons of CO2, and over their lifetime they are expected to save approximately 1 million tons. (Photo: Orcan Energy)
Stabl Energy
Stabl Energy develops technology that makes battery storage more efficient, safer, and more cost-effective. To do this, the Munich company divides high-voltage battery packs into many smaller modules. With their proprietary technology, these are then dynamically interconnected. This concept is designed to protect against failures, improve safety, and save energy. With Stabl technology, both new and decommissioned batteries, such as from electric vehicles, can be used. This gives old batteries a second life as stationary storage systems. (Photo: Stabl Energy)
Kyon Energy
Kyon Energy develops, plans, and operates grid-connected battery storage systems. These are designed to stabilize the power grid and enable clean, sustainable, and socially responsible energy supply with renewable energy sources. The battery storage systems store electricity at times when excess energy is not needed and feed it back into the grid during high demand. This reduces bottlenecks in the grid and strong fluctuations in electricity prices. Overall, this allows more renewable energy to be added to the grid. (Photo: Kyon Energy)
