Drimco has completed a pre-Series A financing round of €4.3 million (US$5 million). The round is led by venture capital firm Ventech. Additional investors include Bayern Kapital and the Siemens Technology Accelerator. The fresh capital will flow into the further development of the AI product “Drim” and the expansion of the team.

Drimco develops a platform for AI-based requirements analysis that particularly supports industrial companies with tenders and request for quotations. The goal is to efficiently capture and evaluate complex customer requirements and industry standards, enabling quick preparation of error-free quotations.

AI agent for industry

The company was founded in 2020 by Pankaj Gupta, Bernt Andrassy, and Costin Cozan. The Drim platform is based on proprietary, multiply patented AI technology. Several specialized AI agents work together and draw on historical project knowledge. This reduces the effort required for quotation preparation and mitigates project risks.

Customers already include international industrial companies such as Siemens, KSB, Royal Smit, and Innomotics. According to its own figures, Drimco has already analyzed over 100 million requirements. A close OEM partnership with Siemens Digital Industries further strengthens the startup’s position.

“We are delighted with the successful completion of the funding round and the confidence of our investors. The investment accelerates the further development of the Drim AI agents – including the ‘GPTender’ agent, which automatically extracts critical product configurations and revolutionizes the understanding of complex requirements. With ‘GPTender’, natural language interaction with customer specifications, standards, and norms is also made possible based on the knowledge base generated by Drim”,

say founders and managing directors Pankaj Gupta, Bernt Andrassy, and Costin Cozan. They continue:

“The investment strengthens our role as an innovation driver in the industrial AI sector, supports our customers in their digital transformation – in line with the highest EU standards for data protection, transparency, and traceability – and creates the foundation for further growth and the recruitment of top talent. This is an important step in our mission to become the market leader in AI-powered requirements analysis.”

Monika Steger, managing director of Bayern Kapital, explains the investment as follows:

“Tenders and requests for quotations, especially in industries where customer requirements as well as industry standards are often technologically complex, present many companies with a major challenge: to quickly grasp this complexity in order to submit a quotation, or risk losing the contract to a competitor. Drimco and its platform for AI-based quotation analysis offers companies in this situation an innovative solution with the potential to generate significant added value. The Drimco team also possesses highly relevant industry and technology expertise – particularly in the field of AI – strong intellectual property in the form of 15 patents, and a solid customer base in important industries with strong customer loyalty. All these aspects make our participation in Drimco an investment with great potential.”
