With the rebrand from Driverhero to Workerhero, the Munich startup is also expanding its expertise. Originally, Driverhero set out to connect companies in the delivery industry with drivers. In the future, the young company wants to focus on the entire blue-collar sector, meaning the sector where skilled workers such as tradespeople, care workers, and industrial workers are employed.
Recruitment campaigns to combat skilled labor shortage
Richard Fischer, CEO of Workerhero, comments on his company’s current strategic shift:
“The demand for suitable candidates is very high in many industries. Based on our first very positive experiences in the driver market from both employer and candidate perspectives, we are now transferring our process and expertise to other industries.”
On Workerhero, companies will be able to find a variety of candidates who can be contacted directly through the platform. Companies will also be able to use customized recruitment campaigns to strategically reach more candidates for job openings and thus find suitable employees despite the skilled labor shortage. Workerhero handles automated campaign creation, deployment, and optimization.
Upskilling: career development through training opportunities
In addition to blue-collar jobs, the Munich startup’s platform will also offer training courses. Based on their current job profile, interested users will be presented with a range of training opportunities. Upskilling of both skilled and unskilled workers is important to Workerhero, as Fischer emphasizes:
“We are not a job mill; our startup operates with both heart and mind. In the future, we help people searching for work not only find the right job at the right company, but also unlock their potential for career development. We believe it should not be an unreachable privilege to be offered career opportunities and work in your dream job. That’s why we’ve created a platform that reveals exactly these possibilities for people.”
