In addition to renting its own fleet at twelve stations in Germany and Italy, Freewaycamper relies on its advanced asset-light approach. Through a franchise partner model modeled after Flixbus, Freewaycamper offers its partners from the SME sector not only an online booking platform but also active management of pricing and marketing activities, and takes on much of the customer interaction. With a turnkey solution, traditional rental companies and new market entrants should be able to make their offerings digitally bookable in just a few steps.
Access to new markets
Through the merger with Campiri, Freewaycamper not only wants to leverage the Czech startup’s powerful IT platform, but also secure access to the rapidly growing Central and Eastern European market as well as Spain, where Campiri has been operating since 2022. All four co-founders are part of the joint venture, with Nikolai Voitiouk-Blum and Lukáš Janoušek remaining co-CEOs. Julia Blum will serve as CXO and Paul Tesar as CPTO.
“With the complementary corporate and team structure as well as the highly scalable IT platform, Campiri brings additional strength to our company and together we create a solid foundation for strong future growth”,
emphasizes Julia Blum.
“We are very pleased about the merger with Freewaycamper, which offers significant advantages both geographically and in terms of business model for both rental companies and camping travelers. Our joint strategy will focus on providing the best and broadest offering for our customers in all markets”,
underscores Lukáš Janoušek.
