Goodbye German Entrepreneurship, hello Start2 Group! The renaming of the corporate group to ‘Start2 Group’ is intended to reflect its international growth and clarify its positioning as a global partner for startups, companies, investors, universities, and the public sector. Matthias Notz, CEO Global, explains:

„Our transformation to Start2 Group was the logical evolution of our brand: we operate on four continents to promote innovation across borders and overcome intercultural barriers. I am very proud of this development, because with Start2 we offer a platform that covers all the decisive milestones in the development and growth of startups: from the idea to global scaling. ”

Since its founding as German Entrepreneurship in 2008, the company has been committed to startups and corporates. Through expansion into the USA and Asia, activities grew beyond the local ecosystem: Since 2012, Start2 has operated the German Accelerator financed by the Bundesministerium für Wirtschaft und Klimaschutz (BMWK).

Direct access to new markets

In 2016, Start2 expanded its scope of activity and has since offered intrapreneurship initiatives for corporates: According to its own information, over 80 DAX-listed companies and multinational firms benefit from the offered innovation projects and customized corporate accelerators. In 2018, programs for the internationalization of startups from the Asian region followed in Singapore, and in 2021, Scale-up.NRW began as a scaling program for startups from North Rhine-Westphalia. At the end of 2023, Start2 opened an office in Buenos Aires and launched its first program in the United Arab Emirates.

nnnn

„The strategic expansion of recent years demonstrates our success in advancing innovation globally. The opening of additional offices in key regions such as the USA and Latin America is a decisive step to enable startups direct access to new markets and the most important innovation centers”,

nnnn

says Annika Pierson, CEO The Americas, Start2 Group, Inc.

nnnn

With its locations in Europe, the USA, Latin America, and Asia, Start2 enables startups to have direct access to international key markets. Using its network of alumni, experts, investors, and mentors, Start2 has already guided a large number of startups to success – including Munich giants such as Flixbus and Celonis – and put them on a sustainable growth trajectory. Claus Karthe, CEO Asia, Start2 Group Pte Ltd, comments:

„I am very much looking forward to further expanding our initiatives in all these dynamic regions and, in collaboration with our partners in America, Europe, and around the world, stepping together into this exciting new era.”
