Holidu is recording its next strategic acquisition. Shortly after the acquisition of Ferienwohnungen.de, the traveltech has secured the next growth boost with the integration of Clubrural. Clubrural has existed since 1997 and was among the first digital providers of vacation rentals in rural areas in Spain. Since then, the platform has grown to around 28,000 bookable vacation homes and apartments in Spain and Portugal. According to its own figures, the website attracts more than 15 million visitors every year.
For hosts, the integration means greater visibility for their properties on the Holidu portal. Guests will benefit from an expanded range of accommodations, as the complete Holidu inventory is now available for booking on the Clubrural website. At the same time, Clubrural’s portfolio, which specializes in rural areas, is now also available on the Holidu website.
“With this partnership, we enable hosts to greatly simplify all rental management processes and significantly increase their international visibility. We also provide property managers with an even better technological solution and a simplification of many processes, from optimized calendar planning to efficient payment processing,”
explains Holidu CEO Johannes Siebers. The traveltech relies not only on innovative technologies but also on personal relationships with property managers. Additionally, the company wants to advance direct online booking with instant booking confirmation and better serve the demand for rural vacations.
Integration into Holidu family strengthens market position
“The integration of Clubrural into the Holidu family is not only a major step forward for hosts and guests, who will experience significant improvements in all booking processes and services. The collaboration also strengthens our market position and enables further growth. And it confirms our commitment to optimize the vacation rental market in rural areas and make it accessible to everyone who wants to relax and enjoy their time,”
says Javier De La Cruz, founder of Clubrural.
For employees in Spain, little should change. The Madrid office will remain and become part of the Holidu team with over 500 employees across Europe. Siebers is looking forward to the collaboration:
“We warmly welcome our new colleagues and look forward to working together on our mission: enabling hosts and guests to fully enjoy their vacation home with joy and without worry.”
