With Fund IX, HV Capital aims to commit to promoting ESG principles in the venture capital ecosystem. The investor is targeting a 33 percent share of women in the management levels of its portfolio. And by the end of the fund’s term, HV Capital intends to invest 30 percent of the funds in companies that meet the criteria for climate protection and ecological sustainability of the European Investment Fund (EIF).
The fund follows HV Capital Fund VIII, launched in 2020 with a volume of €535 million, as well as the Continuation Fund HV COCO Growth with a volume of €430 million. The latter was established in 2022 to continue the existing investments from the three funds HV IV, HV V and HV Coinvestment Fund from 2010 to 2015. With its latest fund, the VC wants to focus on high-growth companies, especially in sectors such as fintech, climate tech and consumer goods.
