Munich Startup: What problem do you solve?

Kristijan Skrobo, Co-founder: A soccer club has to manage multiple teams while simultaneously supporting the development of each individual player. In everyday club life, schedules, communication with parents, and athletic observations are often scattered across chats, spreadsheets, and personal notes. That costs time and complicates collaboration within the club.

Klarbeats provides a shared platform for club officials, coaches, players, and parents. We connect club management with coaching and individual player development. Our goal is to ensure that even a volunteer-run club can systematically shape its youth development across all teams. Klarbeats is available on the web as well as for iOS and Android.

Munich Startup: What can only you do as of today?

Kristijan Skrobo: Klarbeats spans everything from pitch and training session planning for multiple teams on the web to development plans for individual players. This provides a club with a unified working foundation for both its administrative and athletic operations.

An example: A coach notices that a player struggles with receiving the ball under pressure. He records the observation, sets a development goal, and adds suitable exercises. At the next evaluation, he can check the progress. Precisely this connection between the day-to-day operations of an entire club and the development of each individual player is our strength. We develop it directly out of our own coaching experience.

From Friends, Fathers, and Football Coaches to Founders

Munich Startup: What sparked the founding?

Kristijan Skrobo: We are three friends, football coaches, and fathers of football-playing children. From our own club experience, we knew how much time coordination takes and how difficult it is to consistently support the development of every single player. We wanted to create a solution for that which an entire club can work with. That’s how Klarbeats came to be.

Professionally, we bring a strong combination of skills to the table. Ipatios has experience in software development and platform architecture, including at Personio and Breuninger. Zoran has developed and managed internal apps as a product expert for Siemens. I contribute international service and operations experience from my roles at Ryd and Digital Charging Solutions.

Together, we can translate requirements from everyday club life into a usable product, implement it technically, and guide clubs through the rollout. Being out on the training pitch ourselves keeps us close to the people we are building for. That connection is what makes us strong as a founding team.

Munich Startup: Was there ever a moment when you thought about giving up?

Kristijan Skrobo: No. Football is our life, and we have an incredible amount of fun developing Klarbeats. We are turning our shared passion into a business and can help other clubs with it. That motivates us so much that building it doesn’t even feel like work to us.

Munich Startup: How will you know in a year’s time that you’re on the right track?

Kristijan Skrobo: When a club starts with one team, more coaches join, and Klarbeats naturally becomes part of everyday club life after one season. A particularly strong signal would be if coaches outside our direct network use the platform for months and recommend it to others.

Clubs can get started for free and experience Klarbeats in their daily operations. After that, the product has to prove its value. We want to see clubs working with it on a permanent basis, using the player development features, and consciously opting for a paid club plan.

“We live and breathe everyday club life”

Munich Startup: Would you found in Munich again and why?

Kristijan Skrobo: Yes, in the Munich region again. In Neubiberg, we live and breathe the everyday club life from which Klarbeats was born. During training, we talk to other coaches and club officials, experiencing firsthand where processes work and where they waste time.

This proximity is a major advantage for our product development. We receive direct feedback and can validate improvements in everyday football practice. For us, the region is home and the place where we use our product ourselves.

Munich Startup: Perfection or speed?

Kristijan Skrobo: Speed when learning. We introduce improvements to daily club life early on and develop them further alongside the coaches. A feature also needs to be easy to understand when someone is running youth training after a full day at work. Reliability and clear access permissions have been part of that from the very beginning.
