For a total of four categories, “Munich’s distinguished companies” are being sought again this year – companies that demonstrate a particularly high level of social commitment. The search is for micro-enterprises, small businesses, medium-sized enterprises, and large enterprises. Companies can apply online by May 15, and a jury will then decide on the awarding of prizes.
The areas in which applicants engage does not matter. This can be in education, culture, health, migration, environment, or social services. The competition is also designed to be cross-industry, with companies from retail, crafts, industry, or the service sector able to apply. An important criterion for participation, however, is that the presented projects relate to Munich city and took place in 2022.
Image film for own public relations
Why should a company apply for the engagement award? Winning companies receive, in addition to a trophy and a certificate, an image film and a seal – both of which can be used for their own public relations. At the same time, they are automatically nominated for the German Engagement Award, which comes with prize money.
In 2021, Celonis was able to secure the engagement award. With the creation of the Academic Alliance, the company developed a comprehensive teaching and learning program to promote education and research in the field of applied data analytics. To do this, Celonis opened its technology for educational purposes free of charge and established a diverse program of online learning offerings, certifications, lectures, and applied projects.
