The fresh capital for Munevo comes from Bayern Kapital, BayBG, Be10x Capital, Roca X, additional existing investors, and business angels. The company, founded in 2018, emerged from a university course at the chair of business informatics at TU München. Through smart glasses, the Munich-based company’s solution enables head control of electric wheelchairs. Additionally, other devices such as smartphones or robotic arms can be operated by head movement.
“We are confident that Munevo has all the prerequisites to succeed internationally”
With the new financing round, the Munich-based company aims to meet the growing demand for its solution, expand its sales network in the US, and extend its partnerships in Europe.
“We are very proud that the new financing will enable Munevo to grow and help many people”,
says Claudiu Leverenz, CEO and co-founder of the startup.
“We are very pleased that the participating venture capital investors have provided us with access to the necessary financial resources to grow the company rapidly.”
BayBG investment manager Peter Graf says:
“We already invested in Munevo GmbH in 2020, then with mezzanine capital, a company that convinced us as a technology leader with its groundbreaking product and innovative developments. We are confident that Munevo has all the prerequisites with the current financing round to succeed internationally.”
