Articly
7 questions for Articly: The Munich startup builds customized AI-based solutions that transform articles, newsletters, or blog posts into professional audio products – whether podcasts or audio briefings. In the interview, Lukas Paetzmann and Wolf Weimer explain how media companies can reach new target audiences with it, why the pivot to the B2B model was decisive, and where AI audio is heading. 2 million for Linexa: Munich startup Linexa has completed a pre-seed financing round of 2 million euros, led by Project A and backed by industry leaders such as Festo CEO Thomas Böck and Celonis co-founder Bastian Nominacher. With its platform for deciphering decades-old control technology, Linexa addresses a central challenge in European manufacturing and aims to make production systems AI-capable at scale for the first time. Million-dollar project without a deal: Why Ottobahn hasn’t closed yet: The Munich startup Ottobahn is pursuing an ambitious vision: autonomous gondolas that travel over streets and transport people and goods. Interest in it is high – both nationally and internationally. But despite numerous conversations and concrete projects, a decisive milestone is still missing: the first deal. We spoke with Ottobahn founder Marc Schindler about the major project in our Pitch & People video podcast. (Photo: Munich Startup)
Leegle founding team with investor Christian Lindner
Leegle brings Christian Lindner on board: The Munich startup Leegle is expanding its advisory board with Christian Lindner. According to the company, the former Federal Finance Minister is also participating as an angel investor. The startup does not disclose the investment amount. Leegle is developing an AI platform that analyzes regulatory requirements for companies and translates them into concrete tasks. For Lindner, according to the company, this is one of his first startup investments since leaving office. (Photo: Leegle)
Tubulis exit, Munich
The Tubulis story behind the 5 billion-dollar exit: In June 2016, Jonas Helma-Smets sends an email. Politely worded, almost reserved. He introduces himself, explains his idea, and asks for support. No funding, no infrastructure, no guarantee that anyone will even be interested in it.
Ten years later, this very idea becomes one of Europe’s largest biotech exits: US pharmaceutical giant Gilead acquires Munich biotech startup Tubulis for up to five billion US dollars. Munich Startup spoke with those who accompanied the journey. (Photo: AI-generated)
Luisa Buinhas Vyoma
Women in Tech: Luisa Buinhas is co-founder and Chief Program Officer of Vyoma. The startup, founded in 2020, launches satellite-based telescopes into Earth orbit to enable object monitoring of the near-Earth space environment. In the interview, the PhD aerospace engineer talks about her path from science to entrepreneurship, why communication is crucial in the deeptech sector, and the role spacetech plays in security and sovereignty.
